Beth Foskett was a Business Administrator at Scarlett & Mustard; a Suffolk based company making a range of highly versatile dressings, marinades and sauces.
‘Being an apprentice with Blue Sky at Scarlett & Mustard was exhilarating and enjoyable, oh and yummy! Learning new things every day with the help of the team here in Earl Soham means that I was able to complete my apprenticeship work with no trouble at all.’
‘Sandy – my manager, advised me about taking the apprenticeship on. I tried a year at university and was unsuccessful so taking on the apprenticeship is one of the best things I have ever done. I have learnt more in one year of working at Scarlett & Mustard than I feel like I have in my whole life!’
Beth said ‘the best bit about being an apprentice is being able to earn while you learn and the most challenging bit of being an apprentice here has to be not being able to eat all of our products all the time!’
‘The advice I would give to local young people about apprenticeships would be to go for it, it’s an amazing way to progress through your career’
